Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Goldbroker.com is seeking a bright and self-motivated individual for the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the company's London office.

The CTO primary remit is to manage and supervise our team of web developers. He is responsible for the quality of the product, from code architecture to end-user quality. As CTO you have a number of responsibilities, but the primary one is to get a product out the door and make sure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible. From the initial project scope to deploying the product out, each step is your responsibility. You can, and should, delegate as much as you can but be ready to check that things are being done as you want and be ready to jump in if it is not.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the Director's strategic objectives, goals, and priorities. The CTO is the face of the developers team at the corporate level, planning projects and directing business matters.
• Managing the “building” of website / software / applications / solutions / tools by developers. The CTO owns the entire development process.
• When crunch time comes, the CTO should be ready and able to dive in, coding and take over some development tasks.
• Code reviews, test, ideas : depth knowledge of a large number of a programming languages and environments.
• Quality control : maintain product quality from end-to-end, ensuring quality through the coding process and for the delivered product.
• Management: one-on-one meetings, giving feedback, coaching.
• Innovate and educate the developers team. Organizing and facilitating training for the developers in the latest tech advancements. Mentoring developers to improve their skills.
• Driving the hiring and training process.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, independant, autonomous, able to handle confidential information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.

 
Required qualifications:
 
- Education: Bachelor-level
- Experience: 3 to 5 years minimum
- Languages: English, French
- International experience
- Skills: Management, calendaring, organization skills, office software, confidentiality, communication, proactive monitoring, skilled multi-taske, writing
